Who has the Best Elevator Pitch in Chicago?
Two keys to success in the business world are a great business plan - and a great elevator pitch. What is an elevator pitch? A clear and concise summary - 30 seconds or less - of your business and why your service or product is important.
After years of running a great business plan competition (see and vote for your favorite finalist on our web site) the City Treasurer’s Office would like to encourage Chicago businesses to put their best foot forward verbally - and fast.
The best elevator pitch will win a free exhibitor booth ($350 minimum value) at the Small Business Expo to present their service or product before an expected crowd of 1,500 people and 100 exhibitors.
The City Treasurer’s FREE Small Business Expo is Friday, July 17th, at the UIC Forum - a full day of networking and FREE business workshops.
To enter The Best Elevator Pitch Contest - email businessplans@cityofchicago.org you may use the official template ( Download ElevatorSpeechTemplate ) or a word document. The deadline to enter the 10 day contest is Wednesday, June 24th.
